Minor Chores

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Outdoors

shutterstock_43241977When outdoor work becomes too difficult for you to handle yourself, Interfaith Neighborhood Outreach Program volunteers will lend a helping hand. We help out with seasonal chores from shoveling snow to cutting grass and raking leaves – all of which make it possible for many older adults to continue living at home. Interfaith matches community volunteers, usually someone that lives close by, with older adults age 60 and up in need of outdoor hands-on services.

Interfaith helps create a community where neighbors go out of their way to help older adults with:

  • Lawn mowing and maintenance
  • Snow removal from driveways, sidewalks, porches and steps
  • Leaf raking to maintain top-notch curb appeal
  • Other minor home repairs

Thank you for sending four young, enthusiastic women to my home for lawn cleanup. They worked hard and did a great job. I’d love to have them back any time!
